 The school

 

Dr. V. Genguswamy Naidu Vidhyalaya was started in the year 1985 for the welfare of all the communities and public nature of educational and charitable purposes.
During the academic year 1989-90, the school was upgraded to the status of a Matriculation school, upto VII Std. The School has been renamed as Dr.V.G.N. Matric. School.
Ten acres of land has been purchased for the construction of the school and the foundation stone was laid in the year 1989. The school started functioning in its new building since the year 1989-90. In the academic year 1992-93 our school has been upgraded as Higher Secondary School.
The School is recognized by the Tamil Nadu Government State Educational Department. It has classes from L.K.G. to XII std. for the age group of 3 to 18 years.
It has a pupil strength of 1600 students, 69 teachers and 47 non- teaching staff.
Now, for the facility and convenience of students 12 buses and 3 vans have been operating for the students.
